A commission starts with an idea

Send your intended use, preferred size, wording, colors, date, and any reference images you are allowed to share. Will and Steen Smith will review the request and confirm what the shop can build for your timeline.

Renting a personalized piece

Rental personalization is handled case by case using a separate removable element, such as a plaque, nameboard, or insert. The underlying rental piece is not permanently engraved. Your quote explains the approved method and what you keep.

Buying a piece to keep

Permanent engraved work and custom keepsakes are commissioned for ownership. If you want to own a statement design from the rental collection, ask for a build-to-order purchase quote. Purchase pricing reflects a piece built for you.

Before the shop starts

Confirm the design proof, spelling, dimensions, finish, included hardware, price, payment schedule, and collection or delivery arrangement in writing. Custom scope and lead time depend on the design and the shop schedule.
