This policy explains how Smith Made handles information submitted through smithmadesc.com or sent directly to us about rentals, custom builds, date availability, and related services.
Information you choose to provide
- Your name, email address, and optional phone number.
- Your event date, venue or city, product interests, and inquiry details.
- Referral or campaign labels that brought you to the inquiry form.
- Messages, quote details, approvals, and records needed to serve you.
Payment card information is handled by the payment provider you choose, such as Square or PayPal. Smith Made does not ask you to place full card details in the website inquiry form.
How we use it
We use this information to answer your inquiry, check availability, prepare a quote or proof, coordinate an order, provide customer service, keep necessary business records, and protect the site and our communications.
Submitting an inquiry asks us to respond about that inquiry. It does not automatically enroll you in unrelated marketing texts or sell your contact information to another business.
Service providers
The website is hosted through GitHub Pages. FormSubmit transmits inquiry form entries to our Gmail inbox. Square or PayPal may process a payment when you deliberately use their checkout. These providers may process technical or transaction information under their own policies.
As of this policy date, Smith Made does not run its own advertising pixel or website analytics tracker. Hosting and security providers may still create ordinary technical logs, such as an IP address, browser type, or request time, to deliver and protect the service.
Retention and sharing
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed to answer the inquiry, provide the requested service, maintain business and tax records, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal obligation. We share it only with service providers used for those purposes, when you direct us to, or when required by law.
Your choices
Your phone number is optional. You can ask to review, correct, or delete information we control by emailing will.smithmade@gmail.com. Some records may need to be retained for an active order, payment, tax, fraud, or legal reason.
Children and security
This service is intended for adults planning events and is not directed to children under 13. We use reasonable safeguards, but no website, email, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
